LG L704i the Japanese chocolate with HSDPA




NTT DoCoMo the Japanese telecom juggernaut has added the LG L704i to its portfolio. The chocolate phone supports DoCoMo's FOMA service and HSDPA as well.

The L704i rides on GSM and W-CDMA giving user the comfort of world roaming as well superfast 3.6 Mbps downloads via HSDPA. The phone has the traditional chocolate styled touch panel with a red backlight for accessing the menu. Specs include 2 Megapixel camera, secondary camera for video conferencing, 2.2 inch QVGA display supporting 262k colors, INfrared and Micro SD card for memory expansion upto 2GB. The battery provides 300 hours of standby time and 150 minutes of talktime.The LG L704i will be available by October in black, white and wine red colors.

Greenhouse Kana D a simple DAP

Greenhouse Japan has announced the Kana D a simple no frills MP3 player. With just 512MB of onboard memory it can playback MP3 and WMA files with support for voice recording in WAV format. The LCD display shows track information along with battery life. The player connects via USB to its host it is powered by single AAA battery which provides 7 hours of continuous playback.
The Greenhouse Kana D measures 28.5×83×22mm and weighs 25 grams. It will be available in Japan from mid July for 3280 Yen ($ 27).

Sony Ericsson W580 - Video Preview

Phone Arena has released a video preview of the Sony Ericsson W580. Sony Ericsson W580i is a multi media phone comes with a 2.0-inch QVGA screen, 2.0-megapixel camera, M2 card slot (512MB included), EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0, USB connectivity, built-in FM tuner, and “music illumination” effects. Windows Vista - iPhone Comaptible???

Earlier this year Windows Vista adopters were in for a rude shock when they found their iPods were not supported by the new OS. Checking at the iPhone requirements posted on various sites it seems Windows Vista again does not make a cut
- Mac: Mac with a USB 2.0 port, Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later
- PC: Windows PC with a USB 2.0 port and Windows XP Home or Professional (Service Pack 2)
(Notice the conspicuous absence of an “or later” in the Windows specs?)

World's largest rear projection TV at 110 inches - JVC HD-110MH80

JVC Japan has announced the HD-110MH80 which gets the title of the world's largest rear projection TV. At 110 inches it is the biggest TV money can buy as its Plasma and LCD counterparts from Mitsubishi and Sharp max out at 103 and 108 inches respectively. It adopts the Bick screen (Exe series) which offers full HD resolution at 1980 x 1020 pixels. Powering this mammoth is the TS-CL110J high tension mercury lamp which costs around 15,750 Yen ($ 130) to replace. Onboard 14 bit digital image processing and the Genesas image engine deliver superior picture quality, it has onboard digital and analog tuners. The speakers deliver an output of 10W x 2 ch, onboard connections include 2 x HDMI, Ethernet and Monitor input.

The measures 254.4×93.6×177.7cm and weighs an astounding 330 kgs, JVC advises buyers to reinforce the flooring before getting one. The TV will be available in Japan from October with pre-orders start on July, it carriers a price tag of $ 52,550.
